How to decommission a Metro or Evo1 Pro system
This article provides a step-by-step guide to decommissioning a Metro or Evo1 Pro system at the end of works.
When the programme of works is complete, it may be necessary for customers to decommission the Metro system. This could be to allow the permanent signals to come into operation, or because the signals are no longer required.
In most cases, the decommissioning of a scheme is performed by Traffic Group Signals. This is usually part of the process of removing the equipment from site, and ensures the hand-off between signal systems is safe and seamless for road users and operations staff.
However, where appropriate, our team can provide remote support while your team carries out the decomissioning on site.
