Using the TMdesk Battery Screen
This article provides an overview of the Battery Screen
What is the Battery Screen?
The Battery Screen helps you keep track of battery levels across your live temporary traffic signal sites. When signals are deployed, TMdesk automatically groups them into a site, inheriting the name of the road on which they located. Each site is then shown as a card on the Battery Screen.
Which sites should I check first?
TMdesk puts the sites with the lowest battery levels at the top of the screen, this makes it easy to see which sites are likely to need attention first.
Remember, a site has several signals working together. If a signal loses power, it may affect how the whole site operates.
Checking the Battery Screen regularly can help you spot low batteries before they become a problem.
How do I check a site?
Click on a site card to open that site on the map.
You can then zoom in to see the individual signals and other assets on the site.
Move your mouse over an asset to see more information about it, including its battery level.
This helps you find the individual signal that may need attention.
Example:
-
You open the Battery Screen and see that Station Road is near the top of the list.
-
Click the Station Road card to open the site on the map.
-
Zoom in and check the signals to find the one with the lowest battery.
-
You can then plan a battery change before the signal runs out of power.
